Alyce C. Weeber of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, September 2, 2019 at VITAS Hospice - Nazareth Hospital. She was 84 years old. Alyce was born March 23, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William J. Downey and the late Dorothy L. Downey (nee - Krout). She is the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Weeber; mother of William Weeber and his wife Jen, Margaret Sloan, and Patrick Weeber and his wife Jen; grandmother of Kelly, Kimberly, Jason, Rachel, Patrick and Katelyn, great grandmother of Cole.
Alyce was born, raised and educated in Philadelphia, attending Kensington High School for Girls. She knew Paul Weeber from the neighborhood and married him on June 27, 1953. They raised their family in the Burholme section of Philadelphia. They retired to Lancaster, PA in 2000 and returned to Philadelphia in May 2015. Alyce loved to crochet and send greeting cards. Many family and friends have afghans crocheted by Alyce. She was also known for her delicious mac salad.
Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Lawndale Baptist Church, 6433 Lawndale Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Lawndale Baptist Church - Memorial Fund, 6433 Lawndale Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
