Leopold F. Siwek of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died Friday, December 7, 2007 at . He was 82 years old. Leopold was born January 21, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Frank Siwek and the late Albina Siwek.
He is the beloved husband of Stephanie Siwek (nee Chudoba). Father of Carl Siwek (June) and Eddie Siwek (Linda) and Carol Ann Karcher (Richard). Grandfather of June Rodriguez (Luis), Lynn, Stephanie, Krystal and Eddie Siwek. Great grandfather of Carl Siwek, Lauren and Luis Rodriguez Jr. and Alexis Potash. Brother of the late Edwin Siwek and the late Lillian Strybuc.
Leo and Stephanie have owned and operated Siwek Plumbing Mill Supplies in Rockledge, PA for 55 years. Leo was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Katharine Drexel Council #3968. He was a member of the Rockledge Fire Department and the Associated Polish Home of Philadelphia.
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewings, Monday, December 10, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA. 19046. His funeral mass will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia R. C. Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. A cemetery service at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046 followed the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111 or Holy Redeemer Hospice, 12265 Townsend Road Suite 400, Philadelphia, PA 19154.
