Frances B. Hahl of Trevose, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Paul’s Run. She was 91 years old.

Frances was born on October 26, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Frank S. Mayer and Catherine M. Mayer (née Gfelner). She grew up in Rockledge, Pennsylvania, where she attended Rockledge Elementary School and Lower Moreland High School.

Frances was the beloved wife of Willi O. Hahl and the late Paul E. Beck, Sr. She was a devoted mother to Paul E. Beck, Jr. and his wife Mary Lynn; a loving grandmother to Brian Beck and his wife Alyssa, and Colin Beck and his wife Tracy; and a cherished great-grandmother to Carson Beck. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon.

A lifelong learner, Frances began her college education alongside her son, earning an Associate’s Degree from Bucks County Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rider College, and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Rider College. Her professional life reflected her deep compassion and dedication to helping others. Frances worked extensively with differently-abled children in school districts throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties. She learned sign language in order to work with hearing-impaired children and found great fulfillment in supporting children and families through organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Bucks County Children and Youth.

Among her many interests, Frances loved to travel—especially to Alaska—and took great joy in watching her grandchildren participate in soccer, tennis, and baseball. She was a devoted flea market aficionado, a passionate cat lover, and delighted in her cherished unicorn collection.

Frances married her high school sweetheart at the age of 18 in 1953 and was tragically widowed at just 20 years old. She later found a second chance at love when she met Willi, whom she married on December 7, 1961. Together, they shared a loving and devoted marriage.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., followed by her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. A graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Owen Griffiths.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frances’s memory to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Family flowers arranged by Blake Florist 215-379-8787.
