Thomas J. McGuire of St. Augustine, died Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his home. He was 78 years old. Thomas was born September 5, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph Henry McGuire and the late Eleanor R. McGuire (nee - Briganti). He is the beloved husband of Cheryl Ann (nee Wohlfert) McGuire. Father of Thomas McGuire Jr., Sharon Chieffo, Michael McGuire and Lisa Dick. Step father of Eric Thelen, Andy Thelen and Lindsay Hall. Grandfather of Jordan, Haley and Riley Dick, Amber and Alyssa McGuire and Lenny Chieffo, Madelyn Thelen, Kaylee Thelen, Landon Thelen, Alex Thelen, Avery Thelen, Parker Hall, Caleb Hall; Brother of the late Joseph McGuire.
Tom was educated at St. David School, Cardinal Dougherty High School and Penn State. He was a Manager for United Parcel Service in Horsham, PA when he retired. Tom spent 31 years employed by the United Parcel Service, the majority of those years in operations around the country.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. His Funeral Mass began at 10:30 A.M. at St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. His graveside service followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Matthew P. Windle from St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society, 1818 Market Street, Suite 2820, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
