Lillian C. Strecker of Warminster, Pennsylvania died on October 6, 2017, at Ann’s Choice Retirement Community. She was 92 years old. Lillian was born June 12, 1925, the daughter of the late William Schick and the late Lydia Schick (nee - Müller).

She is the beloved wife of 73 years of Walter A. Strecker; mother of the late Walter F. and his wife Maryann, William and his wife Deborah, Robert and his wife Gina, and John Strecker and his wife Annmarie; grandmother of William Richard Strecker, Amy Elizabeth Strecker, Susan Gunsenhouser, Maria Strecker, Timothy Strecker, John Theodore Strecker, and Matthew Ryan Strecker; great grandmother of William Anthony, Brayden James, and Bentley James Strecker.

Lillian was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, attending Olney High School in the city. She lived in the Front Street and Erie Avenue area until the age of 5 when her family moved to the Olney section of Philadelphia at 227 Laveer Street. After leaving Olney High School she worked as a comptometer operator for Sears and Roebuck Company and for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She also worked for Kresge’s 5 and 10 in Olney. She married Walter Strecker in 1944 and the couple lived at 6022 Hasbrook Avenue in the Lawndale section of Philadelphia for over 40 years until moving to 469 Leonard Road in Huntingdon Valley, PA in 1985. They became residents of Ann’s Choice in Warminster, PA in 2006. They were members of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Lawndale for many years.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the chapel of Ann’s Choice, 10000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974. Her graveside service followed at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. James Sutton, chaplain of Ann’s Choice, 10000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.

Donations may be made in her memory to Ann’s Choice Benevolent Care Fund, 20000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
