George M. Holzhauer of Warminster, Pennsylvania died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Ann’s Choice. He was 88 years old. George was born December 6, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Martin Holzhauer and the late Sophie Holzhauer (nee - Brauneisen). He is the beloved husband of 39 years of Helen (nee Henderson) Holzhauer; father of Carol Krisch (Fred), George Holzhauer (Marie), Jean Transue (the late Neil), the late Robert Holzhauer (Val), David Kalix (Joan), Joan Sands (John) and Lynne Harris (Jeff); grandfather of 17; great grandfather of many.

George was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, where he graduated from Wagner Jr. High School and from Central High School, Class #190. He was the longtime owner of the Holzhauer Tile Company of Glenside, PA, currently being operated by his grandsons and office manager Michael Slezak. George was a member of the Glenside Kiwanis Club and was a former president of the Tile Contractors Association. He was a former resident of Horsham, PA, until moving into the Ann’s Choice Retirement Community in Warminster in 2006.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1:00 P.M., funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Military honors rendered by the United States Navy followed in the chapel at Ann’s Choice, 10000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Daniel Moser from Pleasantville United Church of Christ, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont, PA 18914.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Ann’s Choice Scholars Fund, 20000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
