Vincent James DiFranco of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his residence. He was 66 years old. Jim was born February 13, 1947, the son of the late Carmine Vincent DiFranco and the late Frances DiFranco (nee - Chermark). He is the beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann DiFranco (nee - Francks); father of Dawn Harris, James DiFranco and his wife Nina, and Kelly DiFranco; grandfather of Emily and Taylor Harris, A. J., Taryn, Cullen and Elise DiFranco, and Robbie, Nicole and Alina Mastnjak; brother of Mary Frigale and the late Carmen DiFranco.

Jim was born, raised, and educated in the city of Hackensack in Bergen County, New Jersey, where he was a graduate of Hackensack High School. He was inducted into the United States Army on April 5, 1966 and was honorably discharge from the Army Reserves on April 4, 1972 after reaching the rank of Sergeant. Jim was a postmaster for the United States Postal Service during his working career. His most recent assignment was in Columbia, New Jersey, where he worked until his retirement in 2008. Jim had been a longtime resident of Hackettstown, New Jersey, until moving to Willow Grove in 2008. While in Hackettstown, he was a soccer coach for many years for the Hackettstown Youth League, and he also played in a softball league. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing. Since moving to Willow Grove, he could be found most afternoons at the Dunkin Donuts.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. and to his memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Religious services were conducted by Fr. Richard P. Connors, pastor of St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090 www.stdavidparish.org. Military honors were rendered by members of the United States Army at the conclusion of the religious service at the funeral home. His interment was private.
