Michael J. "Mike" Morris of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died suddenly on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Jeanes Hospital. He was 58 years old. Mike was born March 16, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
 
Mike is survived by his parents Jerry and Grace Morris (Kelley); daughter Heidi M. Morris; loving companion Linda Burits; brothers and sisters Jerry and Robin Morris (Hofstetter), Jim and Kathy Morris (Tuscano), John Morris and Lisa Roy, Robert and Michelle Morris (Rullo), Joe and Lori Morris (McMichael), Marie (Morris) and Roy Andresen, Vince and Beth Morris (Ryan), Phil and Paula Morris (Scarpello), and Tom and Adriana Morris (Kedra). Mike is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews.
 
Raised in Rockledge, PA, Mike was a Boy Scout and a member of the “Order of the Arrow,” an honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. He attended St. Cecelia’s School and is a 1974 graduate of Abington High School. Mike continued his education at Montgomery County Community College where he took business courses.
 
Over 30 years, Mike managed his custom carpentry and general contracting business. He was highly regarded as a skilled craftsman.
 
What mattered most to Mike was his family and countless friendships. He was deeply devoted to his beloved daughter Heidi and long time love of 20 years Linda. Mike also enjoyed trips to the Poconos and vacations in Sea Isle City, dancing, Jimmy Buffet, his garden, and any opportunity to be with family and friends. He had a strong sense of country and community, known for his tremendous generosity.  
 
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.  Relatives and friends were also invited to his viewing on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
