Mildred Sours (nee Walton) a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was 92 years old. Mildred was born April 14, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harvey Walton and the late Mildred Walton (nee - Morrell). She is the beloved wife of 66 years of the late Clair “Moose” Sours; mother of Shirley Cameron and her husband Dana, Steve Sours and his wife Teri, Nancy Virgili and her husband Frank, Sue Fox and her husband Rob, Tom Sours and his wife Christine, and Kurt Sours and his wife Maria; grandmother of 22; great grandmother of 37; sister of Paul Walton, Charles Walton and his wife Janice, Richard Walton and his wife Gerry, the late Harvey Walton and his wife Lynn, the late Margaret Deufel and her husband Frank, and the late June Walton.

Mildred was born, raised and educated in Philadelphia and was a June 1949 graduate of Frankford High School. She met the love of her life while attending Harding Junior High School. She was a secretary for Bell Telephone for many years. Mildred was a 10 year resident of the Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was a long time and active member of Frankford Baptist Church and Berachah Church. Mildred enjoyed playing piano, baking and cooking, sewing, decorating, and gardening.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. in the Social Hall at the Philadelphia Protestant Home, 6401 Martins Mill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Relatives and friends were also invited to her graveside service on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Camp Sankanac, 68 Bertolet School Road, Spring City, PA 19475.
