Bryan T. Wilde of Cheltenham, Pennsylvania died suddenly on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was 27 years old. Bryan was born June 3, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, beloved son of Carl Thomas Wilde and Beth Ann Wilde (nee - Ulmer). He is the brother of Allison Leigh Wilde and grandson of Marilyn June Ulmer. Bryan is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bryan was raised in Chetenham where he attended Cheltenham Elementary School, Elkins Park Middle School, Cedarbrook Middle School, and Cheltenham High School where he graduated a member of the class of 2007. Bryan continued his education at Cecil Community College in Maryland until 2009.

Bryan was always physically talented and a natural athlete. When he was 11 years old, he tried out for and became a member of a 13 to 14 year old roller-hockey team. He was very determined when learning new skills and practiced until he was able to successfully achieve them. Over the years, he enjoyed hiking, skateboarding, snowboarding, hockey, wrestling, basketball, and his biggest passion: baseball. Bryan was selected for the Philadelphia RBI League team sponsored by the Philadelphia Phillies in both the 15-and-under and 18-and-under levels. In 2005, Bryan’s team played in the league finals in Anaheim in 2005 and Los Angeles in 2007. While he was at Cecil Community College in Maryland, the team won the state championship. His career continued with time at the professional level in 2011 playing for the Sioux City, Iowa Explorers and 2012 for the Arizona Montezuma Federals. Bryan played baseball in 35 states and parts of Canada during his career. He played recently in the Penndel league on the Glenside Hawks. Bryan always kept up on player statistics and was able to discuss player’s best attributes. Bryan worked in construction over the last couple of years with his most recent efforts being for Caddick Construction.

Bryan was a compassionate person who had a great sense of humor. He loved all of his extended family and especially his parents, his sister, and his grandmother.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. and prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Interment will be private.

Religious services were conducted by Fr. Skip Miller.
