As I read the words below,
The pictures scrolling on and on …
I see the words and want to add,
“There’s so much more to Mom.”

It talks about the life she led,
Dots “I’s” and crosses “T’s” …
And everything they write is true,
But she’s so much more to me.

She gave me life and taught me hope,
Instilled the gift of love …
And then she gave all of the credit
To our God above.

From Mom I learned just how to live
With Bible thoughts in mind …
“Have faith, be joyful, see the good
In each one of mankind.”

“Forgiveness is the bottom line,”
She’d always say to me …
And when I learned the truth of that
My heart and mind were free.

Free to not tie myself down
With worry and resentment …
For with this simple rule of life
I’m living in contentment.

She lived so many lessons,
I could rattle on and on …
Whatever I’d come up with, though …
… There’s so much more to Mom.
