Raymond W. "Ray" Louie of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died Friday, October 13, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He was 68 years old. Ray was born October 29, 1948 in Tit Kong Village, China, son of the late Wallace Louie (Lum Wong) and the late Leung Yow Wong (nee - Pui). He is the beloved husband of 34 years to Eileen A. (nee Roscher) Louie; father of Erica E. and Raymond W. Louie; brother of Richard (Marion), Betty (Marc Fisher), and Donald Louie (Anna). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Raymond emigrated to the United States at two weeks old with his parents. He was raised and educated in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. He graduated from Murrell Dobbins Career & Technical Education High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Temple University. Ray met Eileen while taking Ball Room Dance lessons at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. They were married September 17, 1983 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where they were long time members. Ray worked as an electrical engineer for many years with manufacturing firms Honeywell, Congoleum, and Homasote. In his free time, Ray enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and being a HAM radio operator (N3NNK).
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Michael McKillip from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1203 Pine Grove Road, Yardley, PA 19067.
