Dorothy B. Keen of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland. She was 100 years old. Dorothy was born February 15, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harold W. Reichhold and the late Bessie R. Reichhold (nee - Cramer). She is the beloved wife of the late Edwin L. Keen; mother of Bonnie Pancoast and her husband David and Janet Lynn Selby and her husband Phil; grandmother of 4; great grandmother of 5.
Dorothy was born, raised, and educated in the Pittsburgh area. She was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh and Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. She was drawn to Philadelphia to work at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and stayed with family. Her family introduced her to Edwin Keen on a blind date. The two fell in love and were married in Pittsburgh. They moved to Rockledge in 1954 where Dorothy raised her girls. Dorothy lived in Rockledge until four years ago when she became a resident at Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, and was an avid reader when her health allowed.
Services were held privately.
