Rena M. Spratt of Roslyn, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Abington. She was 83 years old. Rena was born December 30, 1935 in Sudbury, Canada, daughter of the late Victor Gauthier and the late Kathleen Gauthier (nee - MacKenzie). She is the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Spratt; mother of Leslie Spratt, Christopher Spratt and his wife Tatiana, David Spratt and his wife Tona, and Jennifer Brenneman and her husband Steve; grandmother of Edward and Andrew Spratt, and Zachary, Jarod, and Ava Brenneman.
Rena was born, raised, and educated in the city of Sudbury in northern Ontario, Canada. After high school she worked as a bank teller for the Household Finance Company (HSBC) in North Bay, Canada until transferring to Philadelphia in 1960 where she worked for the same company at their office on Easton Road in Roslyn, PA. It was in Pennsylvania that Rena met her future husband Thomas Spratt. They were married in 1962. She has been a resident of Roslyn since 1969 had been a longtime member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church until it’s merger with Queen of Peace Parish in 2014.
