Eugene Osmond Sarazin of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home. He was 85 years old. Eugene was born June 13, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Eugene Osmond Sarazin and the late Evelyn Sarazin (nee - (nee Heist) Robinson). He is the beloved husband of the late Grace Sophia (nee Parsons) Sarazin; Father of Neil Allen Sarazin, Deborah Mae Monte and her husband Mark, and Lynne Carol Perez and her husband Daniel; grandfather of Mark Monte Jr.; brother of John Robinson, Edward Robinson, Patricia Robinson Marston, William Robinson, the late Dorothy Robinson, Cathaleen Robinson Combs, and Susan Robinson Kostis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Eugene was born, raised, and educated in West Philadelphia. He served honorably in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Eugene’s parents and Grace’s parents, the Parsons, lived in the same apartment complex. Eugene was a cross country truck driver for 40 years retiring and taking a job as a school bus driver. He continued to work up until Friday, March 2, 2018. He was an active member of Crossroads Church in Huntingdon Valley and Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. He was a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Philadelphia for many years. He was also involved in World Vision, writing letters to orphans around the world.
Services will be private at the family request.
