H. Jean "Jean" Caputo of Horsham, Pennsylvania died Monday, April 16, 2018 at her home. She was 74 years old. Jean was born December 29, 1943 in Bluefield, West Virginia, daughter of the late Walker B. Ringstaff and the late Pauline Ringstaff (nee - Austin). She is the beloved husband of Michael J. Caputo; mother of Michael Caputo Jr. and his wife Heide, the late Mark Caputo, Matthew Caputo, Michele Lyons and her husband Edward, Melissa Adasavage and her husband Mark; grandmother of Lauren Caputo, Michael Caputo III, Anthony Lyons, Katelyn Lyons, Jessica Messerschmidt, Linzy Messerschmidt, Christopher Messerschmidt, Alexis Adasavage, and the late Michael Adasavage; great grandmother of Benjamin Magni and Silas Adasavage; sister of Brenda Adams and her husband the late Edward. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Jean grew up in Philadelphia where she met her husband Michael. The two married on May 12, 1962 at St. John Bosco Parish in Warminster, Pa. Michael and Jean raised their growing family in Horsham, PA where they have resided for the past 52 years. Jean enjoyed refurbishing steam trunks and gardening. Jean's favorite past time was spoiling her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. Her graveside service followed at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Joseph F. Rymdeika from St. Catherine of Siena Church.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at the University of Pennsylvania for their loving and exceptional care they provided during her time there.
