Theodore Gordon Dart of Hatboro passed away in his home on June 23rd. He was 91.
Born on April 26, 1927 in Sanford Maine, he was the son of Forrest G. and Doris L. Dart and stepson of Herbert Bacharach.

He was the beloved husband of 65 years of the late Elizabeth (Benz) Dart, and loving father of Nancy Dixon (Donald), Joan Baist (Harry) and the late Stephen Dart; Grandfather of Carrie, Matt (Heidi), Casey, and Brett Dixon and Steven and Brian Baist; Great Grandfather of Brynn, Trevor, Reagan, and Kendyl, and Uncle Ted to his many nieces and nephews. His family and friends will remember him as a loving role model of kindness and generosity.

When he was a young boy, he and his mother moved to Philadelphia, but part of his heart always remained in Maine. He loved visiting his home state and his family cherishes their time spent together at Pequawket Lake.

A WWII Veteran, he enlisted in the US Navy in March of 1945 at the young age of 17, serving as a Seaman 1st Class aboard the USS Midway. His 30+ year career at Bell Telephone of PA (Philadelphia) began in 1952, where he started out as a helper, moved up to repairman, installer and then into management. After retiring from the Telephone Company, he delivered parts for Lenihan Auto in Marlton, NJ (finally retiring at age 80).

He remained active in the Telephone Pioneers Club (Liberty Bell Chapter), was a member of the PA Freemasons, Scottish Rite, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing, Tuesday July 3rd at 9:30, followed by the funeral service at 10 am at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Rd., Willow Grove, PA 19090.
Interment was at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
