Joseph P. Johnston of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He was 89 years old. Joseph was born December 4, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Patrick Johnston and the late Virginia Johnston (nee - Kearney). He is the beloved husband of the late D. Patricia “Patsy” Johnston; father of Kim Johnston Rossmair; grandfather of Morgen Rossmair (Paul Engler); great grandfather of Reagan and Tadhg Engler; he is also survived by a loving extended family.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. and memorial service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Owen Griffiths.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 555 Croton Road, Suite 111, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
