Barbara A. Green of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at her home. She was 79 years old. Barbara was born February 19, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Edward McGinn and the late Anna Mae “Nancy” McGinn (nee - Stevenson). She is the beloved mother of Donna M. Schnatz and her husband Peter, Lisa Rice, Gerald Green and his wife Julie, and Edward J. Green; grandmother of Erika Schnatz Duncan and her husband Daniel, Allison Bast and her husband Robert, John Schnatz, Colin Rice, Emily Rice, Aidan Green, Keira Green, and Connor Green; great grandmother of Parker Bast; and sister of the late Edward McGinn.

Barbara was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She was a 1957 graduate of Little Flower High School. Barbara worked for many years as a Legal Secretary. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her son Ed. A favorite trip was always to Mackinac Island, MI. Barbara loved following Philadelphia Sports and especially her beloved Philadelphia Phillies.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:15 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Her graveside service followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Religious services were conducted by Father Bernard C. Farley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
