Robert E. "Bob" White of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home. He was 96 years old. Bob was born May 24, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Elmer White and the late Edith White (nee - Fryling). He is the beloved husband of Doras (nee Cooke) White; father of Robin White, Robert White (Kimberly), and the late Lisa White Patridge; pop pop of Jennifer Swisher (Lee), Bobby White, Jessica White, Samantha Patridge, Buddy Patridge, John Connery Jr., Chad Connery, Michelle Connery, and Doris Connery; brother in law of Joseph Cooke and stepfather of Carol McCauley and John Connery Sr. He was predeceased by his siblings Doris, Charles, George, William, Lorraine, and May.

Bob was raised and educated in Warminster Township, PA. He joined the United States Navy in 1942 and served on a PT boat in the Mediterranean during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Bob met Doras Cooke through his sister Lorraine. Bob and Doras were married February 12, 1955. In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing horseshoes.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Interment was held privately.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Nancy M. Ludwig from Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, 12 Morris Road, Ambler, PA 19002.
