Edna May Weber of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home. She was 99 years old. Edna was born August 14, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John J. Kull and the late Hattie Kull (nee - Nikles). She is the beloved wife of the late Erwin A. Weber; mother of Erwin J. Weber, M.D. and his wife Christine of Wyoming, Ohio, Linda E. Weber, M.D. of Delmar, New York, and Cynthia E. Weber of Fox Chase; grandmother of Emma and Margaret Weber of Ohio.

Edna was born in Philadelphia and was raised in Rockledge at the family home at 210 Church Road in the borough. She was a graduate of Cheltenham High School. In 1943 Edna was married to Erwin Weber at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Cottman Avenue and Palmetto Street in Philadelphia before he was inducted into the United States Army Air Corp. during World War Two. After the war Edna and Erwin owned and operated Weber’s Jewelry Store in Fox Chase for over 70 years. They were members of the Retail Jewelers of America and the Independent Jewelers of America. Edna was also active in the Soroptomist Club of Philadelphia, a worldwide volunteer service organization for business and professional women who work for peace, and in particular to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.

Relatives and friends were invited to her graveside service on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. R. Don Wright from Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1013 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
