Marie J. Lander of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, September 10, 2018 at Jeanes Hospital. She was 75 years old. Marie was born August 23, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Emil Lander and the late Frieda Lander (nee - Kuhn). She is the beloved sister of the late Emil Lander and his wife Joan Lander; aunt of Joan Schenkel and her husband Tim and Susan Lander-Robson; great aunt of Brent, Jacklyn, and T.J.
Marie was a lifelong Philadelphian and an active, longtime member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. She loved her family dearly and had a love of animals.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 7965 Fillmore Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services were conducted by Pastor Deborah Wolfe from St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 7965 Fillmore Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
