Rudolf Gunther "Rudy” or “Gin" Csink of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Friday, October 19, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He was 70 years old. Rudy was born May 30, 1948 in Schesslitz, Germany, son of the late Adalbert Csink and the late Hilda L. Csink (nee - Emmerich). He is the beloved husband of Rosemarie Csink; father of Michael Csink, Richelle Martino and her husband Karl, and the late Rosemarie Csink; grandfather of Jordan Martino, Michael and Riley Csink; brother of the late Gustav F. Csink and his wife Patricia Byrne; he is also survived by a loving extended family.

While Rudy was born in Germany, his family emigrated to the United States when he was nearly two years old. After graduation from Olney High School, Class of 1965, he joined the US Navy, where he served his country as Quartermaster on board the USS Harlen R. Dickson DD708 during the Vietnam War. Rudy was honorably discharged in 1972 after five faithful years of service.

Upon arriving home, a family friend helped Rudy to secure a job as a tow truck operator with a local machine shop. After some time, he began working in the shop itself where his precise nature and attention to detail made him a natural fit for the job. As new positions became available, Rudy would continue to apply for different jobs in the shop, to grow in his skill at work, and take on new responsibilities as an NDT Inspector and finally a CNC Machinist. He also served as Vice President of the Local UAW, though in his own words, he was always simply a dedicated machinist. He worked at his first company for 37 years. When they sold and moved away, Rudy began to work for Rexnord from which he later retired.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 10:30 A.M. and funeral service at 11:30 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service and military honors rendered by the United States Navy followed at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Nancy M. Ludwig from Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.

Family flowers arranged by Schmidt’s Florist 215-745-6234.
