Rita Jo Stack of Cheltenham, Pennsylvania passed away from this life to a better one on Friday, November 9, 2018 at her home. She was 62 years old. Rita was born September 15, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is the beloved daughter of Josephine A. Stack (nee DeFrancisco) and the late Dr. William Thomas Stack Sr.; sister of Bill Stack and his wife Claire.
Rita was raised and educated in Cheltenham, PA where she was a 1975 graduate of Cheltenham High School. She attended Cushing College in Bryn Mawr for one year. Rita received a commendation for 16 years of loyal service at the Navy Depot. She also volunteered at the York Road Nursing Home and the Cheltenham Library. She loved to travel, having visited England, Canada, Hawaii, California, and Florida.
Rita faced her challenges with strength and courage. Her kind, caring spirit and enthusiasm was contagious. She was talkative and curious about everyone and everything. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family, especially her mother, Jo, brother Bill and his wife Claire.
Relatives and friends were invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Cheltenham, 7631 Waters Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. William S. Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to East Cheltenham Library, 400 Myrtle Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
