Elizabeth L. "Betty" Golcher of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. She was 87 years old. Betty was born August 27, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Conrad H. Hasenpflug and the late Lillie Hasenpflug (nee - Franz). She is the beloved wife of the late Charles B. Golcher; mother of Elizabeth Golcher and her wife Michelle Sipple and Connie Bocchino and her husband Michael; “Grammy” of Morgan and Alexander Golcher; she was predeceased by her sisters Mildred Webber and her husband Kenneth and Edna Field and her husband Eugene. Betty is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Betty was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia where she graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum Area Vocational/Technical School. She went to work at SKF Industries where she met Charles Golcher. The two fell in love and were married November 25, 1961. Betty and Charles raised their daughters in Hatboro, PA. After her girls were on their own and she assisted her mother, in her later years, Betty went back to work at the Abington Surgical Center. Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her “Grandbabies”.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Relatives and friends were also invited to her viewing on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 9:30 A.M. and funeral service at 10:30 A.M. at Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. Her graveside service followed at the east section of Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5800 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. J. William Lentz, Jr. from Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory, and in honor of her niece Cookie Catinella, to Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
