Blanche “Amy” Kyriss of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was 84 years old. Blanche was born June 3, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Nicholas Salvina and the late Margaret Salvina (nee - Irvine). She is the beloved wife of the late Victor Jack Kyriss; mother of Mark (Linda Eichner), Cheryl Perry (Jim), Michelle Kehl (Tom), Carolyn Capobianco (Nick) and David (Esther); grandmother of Tara, Christopher, Matthew, Lauren, Amy, Danielle, Thomas, Nicholas, Alexander, Gregory, Ashley and Krista; great grandmother of 7; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and the sister of Ralph Salvina (Janet). She was preceded in death by her siblings Elizabeth Adrey, Nicholas Salvina, Jr. and Mary Louise Walker

Blanche met her husband while they were both employed by PGW.  Blanche and Vic loved to dance.  She worked for many years at Wenzke’s bakery (famous for their German butter pretzels and counter in the back) on Rising Sun Avenue until it closed. She was a fan of Patsy Cline, Bobby Vinton and Johnny Mathis. She would do the Inquirer crossword puzzle every day.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012. Her graveside service followed at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
