Regina F. Mitura of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Manor. She was 73 years old. Regina was born June 3, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Francis Charles Bradley and the late Margaret Elizabeth Bradley (nee - Lehn). She is the beloved mother of Joe Mitura and his wife Karen, Diane Mitura, David Mitura and his wife Katie, Maggie Fairall and her husband Phil, Andy Mitura and his wife Mary, and Gayle Mitura; grandmother of Chad and Ryan Mitura and Claire and June Mitura; she is the youngest of twelve children, predeceased by six and survived by five of her siblings. She is also survived by a loving extended family.
Regina was raised, educated, and a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia. She graduated from St. Hubert’s High School, and pursued higher education at St. Joe’s Nursing School, and later Holy Family University. Regina served and cared for her community for more than 40 years as a Registered Nurse in various roles with the elderly. However, she was truly in her element acting as a nurse at Veterans Stadium for her beloved Phillies for nearly two decades which was a dream come true for such a dedicated hometown fan. Regina will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by her loving immediate and extended family and adoring friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Relatives and friends were also invited to her Funeral Mass on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:45 A.M. at St. Josephs Villa, 110 West Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, PA 19031.
