Elizabeth Jane "Jane" Frank of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Hospital Hospice. She was 87 years old. Jane was born May 12, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Walter Shaw and the late Margaretta Shaw (nee - Ervine). She is the beloved wife of the late Walter S. Frank; mother of Joanne McAllister and her husband Skippy; Nancy Harris and her husband the late Ken, and David Frank; grandmother of Kenny Harris (Daina) and Kyle Harris; great grandmother of Chaplin Harris and Kyle Harris, Jr.

Jane was raised and educated in the Crescentville neighborhood of Philadelphia, graduating from Olney High School. Her family attended the Crescentville United Methodist Church and it was there as a teenager that she met Wally Frank during one the Church picnics. The smitten couple dated for two years, were engaged for two years, and married on September 21, 1957 at the same Church. They lived in the Lawndale neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia on Knorr Street briefly before moving to their current home where they have resided for more than 55 years and raised their children.

Many other lifelong connections and friendships sprung up from Crescentville including a group of friends from their kindergarten years lovingly referred to as the “The Sorority.” Jane remained active in the Church and enjoyed singing, both in performance and as part of the choir. She dedicated her life to her family, was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Kucewicz from Bible Baptist Church of Southampton, 1717 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Grace and Hope Mission Inc., 4 South Gay Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
