John W. Baus of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, April 15, 2019 at his home peacefully listening to his beloved Beach Boys. He was 53 years old. John was born July 27, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Frederick G. Baus Jr. and the late Dorothy M. Baus (nee - Hill). He is the loving brother of Kathleen Discher and her husband Joseph and Linda Praediger and her husband Harold; uncle of Diana Cooney (Nicholas), Danielle Discher (Christopher Caffrey) and Michael Praediger (Jennifer), Leigh-Ann Praediger (Dennis Wade) and Steven Praediger (Melissa Hopper); great uncle of Ashley, Chase, Conor, Kelan, Savannah Praediger, Mckenzy and Dennis Wade, Maeve and Tess Cooney, and Colin (on the way).

John was a graduate of Abington High School. He enjoyed basketball, volleyball, and swimming participating in the Special Olympics under the sponsorship of the Glenside Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs. John worked for APS in Trevose and was a proud family member of Benson Street/SPIN.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Interment followed at Lawnview Cemetery.

Religious services were conducted by Pastor Deborah Wolfe from St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 7965 Fillmore Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
