William L. Colpe III of Glassboro, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his home. He was 65 years old. William was born June 10, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Sophie M. Colpe (nee - Coyle) and the late William L. Colpe Jr. He is the loving brother of Jean Moffatt and her husband Bob, Jim Colpe, Carol Rosu and her husband Pete and David Colpe and his wife Sophie. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Bill was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a 1971 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. Bill worked as a retail manager for Pathmark, CVS, and Home Depot throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He was an avid fan of the Mummers and enjoyed taking his mother to Mummer’s events.
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. and funeral service at 12:30 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Interment was private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the organization of the donor’s choice.
