Anne L. Ganther of Warrington, Pennsylvania died Friday, June 7, 2019 at Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster. She was 87 years old. Anne was born November 29, 1931 in Philadephia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Carl J. Hunger and the late Louise A. Hunger (nee - Schickedanz). She is the beloved wife of 67 years to Frank Ganther; mother of Carol Lusignea and her husband Bill, Barbara Frey, Frank C. Ganther, and Jean Kromer and her husband Joe; grandmother of Lauren Whiteside and her husband Bryan, Lindsay Kiracofe and her husband Phil, Brian Lusignea and his wife Heather, Alicia Reed and her husband Kurtis, Erica Ganther, Frank J. Ganther, Evan Frey, Kelsey Kromer, Joey Kromer, and Erik Kromer; great grandmother of Taylor and Lukas Whiteside and Brianna and Xavier Reed. Sister of the late Carl Hunger.
Anne was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, PA. She attended Olney High School where she met Frank Ganther. The two were wed on May 24, 1952. Shortly after his discharge from the US Army, they moved to Willow Grove, PA and raised their family there for 29 years. After Frank’s retirement they became residents of Brigantine, NJ where Anne loved to host family gatherings. Anne kept busy between raising her kids, being an Avon Lady, making the best beach PB&J’s for the grandkids, and rooting on the Philadelphia Phillies.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2086 Parkview Avenue, Abington, PA 19001. Her graveside service follow at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Michael G. Tavella and Rev. N. Amanda Grimmer from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2086 Parkview Avenue, Abington, PA 19001.
