The family has lovingly composed the following obituary:

Remembering Tina Bednarczyk (Mackintosh)
On Monday, June 24, 2019, Tina Bednarczyk (Mackintosh) of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away at the age of 70 surrounded by loved ones.

Tina was born on May 27, 1949 in Abington, PA to Dan and Elsie (Schaupp) Mackintosh. She attended Upper Moreland High School (‘67), and continued her education at Hiram Scott College (‘71) in Nebraska, earning her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts. Tina married Joe Bednarczyk in July of 1979, and they began a family together. She began her professional career working at the pharmacy in Abington Hospital, before she found her true passion in teaching, prompting her to become a special education teacher at Upper Moreland Middle School and eventually retiring from Carson Valley in Flourtown.

Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Elsie Mackintosh, and her infant son, Stephen Bednarczyk. She is survived by her husband, Joe Bednarczyk, sons David and Peter Bednarczyk, daughter-in-law Hannah, and two granddaughters whom she loved dearly, Harper and Blair. She is also survived by her brother Dan Mackintosh and sister Lynn Quinlan, along with their spouses and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Tina enjoyed spending time at the shore, camping, and hiking trails from an early age with her parents and siblings, and then later in life with her husband and children. She had a great love and appreciation for music, with one of her fondest memories being when she attended The Beatles concert in Philadelphia. Tina was very dedicated and committed to her faith. She served as a member of the choir at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abington, and made meals for the homeless every month. She had an impeccable green thumb and was outside gardening whenever she was able, even cross-pollinating some species of flowers to make her own colors! Tina loved watching her granddaughters and played with them as often as she could. She was an incredible woman who, as everyone knows, only wanted to make others happy.

Memorial services for the celebration of Tina’s life will be held on July 27, 2019 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abington, PA. The memorial will begin at 11 a.m., with family and friend visitation beginning at 9 a.m.
