Anne M. Clay of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, July 8, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Hospital Hospice. She was 72 years old. Anne was born March 13, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William Hugh Clay and Violet M. Clay (nee - Myers). She is the beloved daughter of Violet Dillon (nee Myers) and the late William Clay; sister of William T. Clay and his husband Joe Wamness of Boston, MA and Michael Clay Sr. and his wife Pamela Massey-Clay of Harrisburg, PA, sister-in-law of Dawn Woomer; Aunt of Michael Clay Jr. and his wife Katarina of Lancaster, PA and Ryan Clay and his wife Amber of Levittown, PA; great-aunt of Jocelyn Kaipokas and Charlotte Clay.

Anne was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia where she graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. She was a member of St. Cecilia parish in the Fox Chase neighborhood of Philadelphia. She recently retired from her career as a burn specialist Registered Nurse at Temple University Hospital.

Caring for her mother was Anne’s passion. She was devoted to her nephews and all of her family.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Relatives and friends were also invited to her graveside service Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Fairview Cemetery, 600 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368.

Religious services were conducted by St. Cecilia Church in Philadelphia, PA for the Mass and St. Peters Church in Columbia, PA for the interment at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Little Flower Catholic High School Scholarship Fund, 1000 West Lycoming Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140-2199.
