Carol M. Schatz of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Monday, August 5, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was 83 years old. Carol was born September 19, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Vincent D. McEwen and the late Anna M. McEwen (nee - Delaney). She is the mother of Patricia Ann Lipski-Feroce, Barbara Smialowski and her husband Robert, and Carol Sposato and her husband Mario; grandmother of Robert Ninchuk, Martin Lee Feroce Jr., Christina Sposato, and Graham Smialowski; great grandmother of Caiden Rocco, Tyler Scott, and Sawyer Hope; and the sister of Richard McEwen, Barbara Carney, Eleanor Hoffman, and the late Donald McEwen.

Carol was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She grew up in the Germantown section of the city and attended Germantown High School. She was a member of the Artisans and the Golden Artisans. Carol was a dedicated worker and after retiring from her duties at the bank, she volunteered at Gloria Dei Towers and was always checking up on residents. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, crosswords, and spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Her graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
