Nicholas J. "Nick" Pileggi III of Warrington, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. He was 70 years old. Nick was born February 27, 1949, son of Nicholas Pileggi Jr. and the late Rena Pileggi (nee - Mattson). He is the beloved husband of nearly 40 years to Susan M. (nee Slobodian) Pileggi; father of Nicholas J. Pileggi IV and Jaclyn McCollum and her husband Ryan; grandfather of Nicholas J. Pileggi V, Dean Pileggi, and Holden Pileggi; brother of Marie A. DeBoer and John M. Pileggi.

Nick was born, raised, and educated in Willow Grove, PA. He was a 1967 graduate of Abington High School. Nick worked as an on site superintendent for Magnum Inc. for thirty years. Nick met Susan while at “The Library” a local bar. The two fell in love and were married December 2, 1979 at Susan’s home parish of St. Xavier in Philadelphia. They raised their family in Warrington, PA.

Nick loved to watch his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, tanning, and spending time at the beach. He enjoyed his trips to the Surf Club to meet up with his buddies. After the Surf Club closed, he made a point to call each of them on Christmas. Nick had a great passion for football, starting at a young age playing for the Willow Grove Boys Club and later in his life coaching the Warrington Warriors. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:45 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976. Interment was private.

Religious services were conducted by Msgr. James D. Beisel from St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
