Barbara M. Murray of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, beloved wife of the late Bernard M. Cohen, died suddenly Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was 77 years old. Barbara was born October 10, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Matthew P. Skarbek and the late Jean F. Skarbek (nee - Siemien). She is the mother of Joseph M. and his wife Marylyn (nee - Samson), and Sean M. and his wife Dorothy (nee - Pittner), grandmother of Steven Ivan; sister of Robert Matthew and wife Barbara (nee - Shaw) and Jeanne Elaine (nee - Skarbek) and husband Edward Zebrowski; aunt to Janine (nee - Zebrowski) and husband Robert Stanton, godmother to Jason Zebrowski and wife Jennifer (nee - Savianeso), Matthew Skarbek and wife Heather (nee - Nelson) and Mark Skarbek and wife Jaclyn (nee - Negro); great aunt to Sofia, Vivien, Chase, Garrett, and Ivy.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Her graveside service followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
