Robert Reid Barron Jr. of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Monday, September 9, 2019 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. He was 64 years old. Bob was born August 27, 1955 in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, son of the late Robert Reid Barron Sr. and the late Dolores C. Barron (nee - Hopkins). He is the beloved husband of Donna Barron (nee Coleman); father of Lindsay; also survived by the family dog Luna; brother of James E. Barron and his wife Mary Lou and Richard A. Barron and his wife Kelly and their families.

Bob graduated from Upper Moreland High School in 1973 and completed a bachelors degree in music education and a masters degree in music performance both from West Chester University. He returned to Upper Moreland in 1977 as a music educator where he taught in the elementary schools for a few years before moving to the high school where he stayed until his retirement after 35 years teaching in 2012. Bob was a the director for Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Marching Unit, and taught choirs and general Music Classes at Upper Moreland over the years. He instilled a love for music and a passion for life in thousands of students and adults alike. Following his retirement he renewed his passion of playing trumpet and pursued his greatest love all, bass fishing.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Upper Moreland High School Auditorium, 3000 Terwood Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
