Grant George Faunce, formerly of Ardsley, PA, died Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his home. He was 88 years old. Grant was born January 31, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Ulysses Grant Faunce and the late Mabel Anna Faunce (nee - Williams). He is the beloved husband of 68 years of Lois (nee Doak) Faunce; father of Robert A. Faunce, Steven B. Faunce, Karen L. Keller and her husband Brian R., and Sandra A. Travor and her husband Scott D.; grandfather of Matthew Keller, Kelly Menchaca, Michael Travor, Kelsey Travor, Katie Travor, Emma Witman and Max Witman; great grandfather of Alexander Faunce and Sarai Menchaca.

Grant was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a 1948 graduate of Olney High School. Grant and Lois met while she was attending church with her grandmother during a visit from her home in West Virginia. Her aunt introduced her to Grant and he quickly invited her to the movies. They kept in touch over the years. One day he asked to visit her in West Virginia where he asked for her hand in marriage. They were married in 1951 and raised their family in the Ardsley section of Abington Township. Grant worked for many years as a printer. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and taking care of his lawn. After moving to Ann’s Choice, he kept active in the ROMEOS and was a member of the veteran’s group.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 1:30 P.M. and funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Ann’s Choice, 10000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. James Sutton from Ann’s Choice, 10000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Ann’s Choice Benevolent Care Fund, 20000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974 or Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
