Andrew W. "Andy" Newman Jr. of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Friday, September 20, 2019 at Temple University Hospital. He was 67 years old. Andy was born May 14, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Andrew W. Newman Sr. and the late Gloria Mildred Newman (nee - Harder). He is the beloved husband of Paula Newman; father of Andrea “Dee” Crawford and her husband Sean and Cindy Newman; grandfather of Kerry, Laila, and Bree Crawford and Jameson Boland; brother of Gail Rankin.

Andy was a lifelong resident of Rockledge, PA and loved the community. His devoted support to military veterans grew from his father’s service in World War II. He was very active in The Sons of The American Legion and the Legion family in general. In his free time, he was an avid Philadelphia sports fan; Phillies, Flyers, and especially the Eagles. Sunday game days were always a family time to support the team and “No one comes between Andy and his Birds!” He enjoyed playing darts and loved to travel with Paula. The couple were able to visit Hawaii multiple times, Alaska, Las Vegas, and even took some cruises.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
