The following obituary was lovingly composed by Isabella’s family:

Isabella Fass Dempsey of Maple Glen, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at her home.  She was 95 years old.  Isabella was born December 26, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Henry John Fass and the late Loretta Regina Fass (nee - Reynolds).  She was a graduate of Girls High in Brooklyn.  She also studied piano and voice.  She met her husband, Joseph J. Dempsey Sr., when she accompanied her grandmother to a wedding in Philadelphia.  They were married for 57 years, until his death in 2005.

Many were familiar with Isabella's singing voice as she was active in German American singing societies including the Heimat Echo and the Nordoestlicher Saengerbund and was also a soloist at her church.  She introduced numerous young people to music through piano lessons.

Isabella was interested in politics and served for many years as Republican Election Inspector in her ward.  She also believed in service to community and had been a member of the Junior League of Philadelphia, the Colony Club in Ambler and the Women's Auxiliary of the German Society of Pennsylvania.  She also served in her parish as a CCD instructor.

Isabella was the mother of Cecelia Sullivan, Isabella Dempsey, Alicia Dempsey, Brian Dempsey and the late Joseph J. Dempsey, Jr. (Rose); grandmother of  Cornelius Sullivan (Lynette), Alanna Durn (Robert) and Gwendolyn Sullivan; and great grandmother of Christopher, Liana, Nathaniel and Matthias Sullivan.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002.  Her graveside service followed at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Msgr. Brian P. Hennessy from St. Alphonsus Church.
