The following was composed by Richard's family:

Richard D. Drach of Rydal, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Jefferson Abington Hospital. He was 83 years old. Richard was born May 21, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Gerard S. Drach and the late Mary Drach (nee - Carlin). He is the beloved father of Denise Chaney and her husband Travis; grandfather of Evie Chaney; Brother of Gerard Drach and his wife the late Grace and Edward Drach and his wife Sharon. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Richard grew up in Cheltenham, PA until 1963 when his family moved to Ivyland, PA. He graduated from La Salle College High School in 1960 and from La Salle College in 1964.
Later, he moved back to Cheltenham to raise his daughter, Denise.

Richard loved baseball. As a youngster, he played in the Cheltenham Little League and for the Cheltenham American Legion Baseball Team. He was a pitcher in the first, ever, Cheltenham Little League All Star Game. As an adult, he continued to be a baseball fan. Richard, and his friend, Richard Shute, traveled the country visiting minor league baseball parks and watching as many games as they could. Richard also loved listening to Evie play her flute. From her first performance at Rockdale Music to her most recent performance with the University of Delaware Orchestra, he proudly attended them all.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA 19046. Committal will be private at Richard's request.
