James Lawrence Peterson Sr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Jefferson Frankford Hospital. He was 83 years old. James was born September 20, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Raymond Peterson and the late Catherine Peterson (nee - Whartenby). He is the beloved husband of Eileen (nee George) Peterson; father of Albert Peterson and his wife Kathy and the late James L. Peterson Jr. and his wife Barbara; grandfather of Amber Peterson. And his two special girls Sandy and Molly
James was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a proud 50 year member of Philadelphia Lodge #9 F. and A. M.. James worked as a building engineer for many years for the School District of Philadelphia. In his spare time Jim liked to read and spend time with his k-9 children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to SPCA of Montgomery County, 19 East Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
