Joseph F. Meile of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center. He was 77 years old. Joseph was born March 20, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Reinhold Meile and the late Esther Meile (nee - Jeffrey). He is the brother of Steve and his wife Marguerite, Michael and his wife Linda, Cheryl, the late Ronald, and the late Robert and his wife Dorothy. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Joseph was a proud long-time member Steamfitters Union Local 420. He loved horse racing and especially trips to PARX and Saratoga Springs, NY with his brothers and nephews. He was very sad when the Garden State Racetrack burned down. He also enjoyed his monthly lunches with his brothers where they would try different restaurants in the area each month.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. and a time for sharing memories at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service with military honors rendered by the United States Army followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
