Katharina E. Stielow of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, January 31, 2022 at her home. She was 84 years old. Kathi was born May 29, 1937, the daughter of the late Peter Knapp and the late Anna Knapp (nee - Mueller). She is the beloved wife of Erwin Stielow; mother of Erwin Stielow, Jr. and his wife Shana, and Rolf Stielow; grandmother of Sean, Tatum, and Peyton Stielow; sister of Maria Puskas and Barbara Duhatschek.

Kathi was born in Kathareinfeld, Germany, now part of Serbia, on May 29, 1937 and emigrated to the United States in 1954. She and her husband Erwin have lived at their home in Northeast Philadelphia for over 50 years. Kathi was employed as a meat packer for Dietz and Watson Meats and for Burks Meat Packers during her working career. In her leisure time she enjoyed celebrating her German heritage at the United German-Hungarian Club, the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein, and the Donauschwaben.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:30 A.M. and memorial service at 12:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by The Reverend Norbert F. Hahn, Ph.D. from Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to United German Hungarian Cultural Group C/O Susi Hartmann, 8800 Verree Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19115.
