Ruth T. Roberts of Warminster, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Masonic Village at Warminster. She was 98 years old. Ruth was born September 26, 1926 in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John Wesley Twining and the late Erma Twining (nee - Berger). She is the beloved wife of the late George M. Roberts; She was married to the love of her life, George M. Roberts, on September 11, 1948.. They have 3 children, Jeanne Metros and her husband Bill, Gwen Earley and her husband Fran and George J. Roberts and his wife Lorrie; seven grandchildren, Jim Jolly Jr., Jeffrey Jolly (deceased), Aimee Stabley, Adam Earley, Steven Roberts, Bryan Roberts, Dayna Roberts (deceased), and 8 great grandchildren, James Jolly, Kelsey Jolly, Lucas Stabley and Lauren Stabley, Nova Roberts, Jackson Roberts, Henry Roberts and Tucker Roberts.
Ruth was born, raised, and educated in Willow Grove, a proud graduate of Upper Moreland High School. She worked for many years as a Title Agent at Weichert Realty. Ruth was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Signet Chapter #129 and Willow Grove United Methodist Church. She served on many committees and helped where she could for over 60 years. Ruth also played golf at Sandy Run Country Club on Tuesdays in the ladies league. An accomplished singer, she enjoyed her choir at church. Ruth sang at numerous weddings including her children's. Prior to moving into Masonic Village in 2021, Ruth worked in the gift shop and helped out with BINGO there. Her faith was strong and so was her family involvement, Ruth gave to others before herself. She will be remembered for always doing something for others and being very active through the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 10:00 to 10:50 A.M. and Eastern Star Service at 10:50 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Willow Grove United Methodist Church, 34 North York Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Marikay Green from Willow Grove United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Masonic Village at Warminster - Masonic Charities, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 or Willow Grove United Methodist Church, 34 North York Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
