The following has been composed by Gary’s family:
Gary Brent Kiefer, of Elkins Park, PA, died on September 16, 2023. He was 65 years old. Gary leaves behind to mourn, his wife of 44 years Patricia (Murphy), son, Brian Nelson and daughter, Amanda Ruth.
Gary was the son of the late Louis E. and Ruth J. Kiefer; and the son-in-law of the late John P. and Margaret M. Murphy.
He was the brother of Bonnie Pegg (Jerome) and Robert Kiefer (Kathleen); brother-in-law of the fabulous Murphy sisters, Maureen Stewart, Margaret Mary (Margi) Waerig, Elizabeth (Betsy) Cosgrove and Maryellen Pagan; as well as their husbands, Walter Waerig and the late Larry Stewart, Paul Cosgrove and John Pagan.
Gary was also an uncle to nieces, Bethann, Amy, Elizabeth, Nicole, Laura, Jennifer and Kathleen; nephews, Thomas John, Jude, Paul, John, Robert and Daniel; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
As was his wish, there will be no funeral services. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Please take a moment to remember a fun time with Gary, and hold those close to you a little tighter.
