The following obituary was written by Edward’s family.

Edward F. Hagman died June 27, 2024 in his favorite spot on the couch, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 86. He battled dementia in his later years with an aplomb to be respected.

Ed was the son of Edward F. Hagman Sr. And Sarah Hagman. Husband to his dearest Sue Hagman. Father to 5 children; Bruce Hagman, Jennifer Hagman, Karl Hagman, Lynne Tait, and Brian Tait. Grandfather to Ryan, Candice, Mason, Zach, and Cassidy. Great Grandfather to Cecilia. Brother to John Hagman.

Mr. Ed was raised in Olney, but lived in Willow Grove for most of his life. After high school, he served in the Navy for 3 years where he acquired “goods” for his fellow enlisted men. He went on to attend Drexel University for a business degree.

Edwards second life was working in water treatment for Fisher & Porter where he was a Project Engineer/Manager. He also planned and organized the company picnics every year, usually to Dorney Park.

When not working or spending time with family, he could be found working outside, be it weeding the yard, gathering fallen tree limbs at the church or the VE Club. His game of choice was Pinochle and often attended organized leagues.

Eds other favorite place was the Vereinigung Erzgebirge (VE Club) dedicated to German heritage. He was a member for 30 some odd years.

In the spirit of his love of the VE club, and in lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the VE club.
