Harriet Carol "Har" Wolff of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at her home. She was 80 years old. Harriet was born February 13, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harry Slater and the late Elizabeth Slater (nee - McClay). She was a loving wife to her husband Charlie, with whom they shared 52 years of marriage, and was always a loving mother to their son Chris and his wife JoAnne and a loving grandmother to their three granddaughters Dana Jenks and her husband Josh, Emily Wolff, and Marissa Wolff.

She cared deeply for her niece Lisa Kirby and her husband Scott, and their children Tara, Ryan, Kyle Malone and his wife Gina, and Kelly Webster and her husband Daniel, along with their children Colgan, Elsie, and Callen Webster and Luisa and Matteo Malone.  She is also survived by her sister Liz Ennis, many cousins and family members as well as many close friends.

Harriet was born and raised in Strawberry Mansion where she attended and graduated from Murrell Dobbins High School.  She later received a bachelors degree from LaSalle University.  She met Charlie in the late 1960s while he was working on Jeweler’s Row. She was in the store browsing and when Charlie saw her he felt it was love at first sight.  They kept in touch and started dating, fell in love and were married in 1972 in Las Vegas. They started their lives together on Alton Street in Philadelphia, later moved to Somerton for almost 20 years before settling in Huntingdon Valley in 1990. Harriet was an active member of Gloria Dei Church for many years and recently became involved with the congregation at Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church.

Harriet had a long career in the mortgage service industry. She started working for PSFS in her teens where she learned the business before moving on to Beneficial Mortgage and finally to Fannie Mae from where she retired.  In her free time Harriet enjoyed helping people, including her volunteer work with Meals on Wheel as well as at her church where some of her favorite activities included hosting fellowship events and singing in the choir.  She was happiest when she was around family and friends socializing and loved to meet new people.  She enjoyed traveling with Charlie and her family, especially their trips to Europe and their cruises to places around the world. She will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.  Her graveside service followed at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dave Carey from Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church.
