Mary Elizabeth Blickle, née Brentlinger, of Hatboro PA, passed away suddenly, at Abington Hospital, on August 3, 2024, in Abington, Pennsylvania. She was 88 years old. She was born on April 3, 1936, in Abington, PA, and Mary grew into a woman of strong faith and exuberant spirit.

Mary attended Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School in Bucks County, PA, followed by Hatboro/Horsham High School in Horsham, PA. She furthered her education at Philadelphia Community College. After raising her 3 children, Mary trained on the job and became a certified Histologist, dedicating over 30 years to Fox Chase Cancer Center, a career she found both challenging and rewarding.

A devout member of the Bucks County Seventh Day Adventist Church in Warminster, PA, Mary was deeply involved in her church activities, playing the piano at weekly Sabbath Services and she served as an elder. In her spare time, she loved sewing, bowling, bicycling, crocheting, reading, studying her Bible, and witnessing to people about her faith.

Mary was a loving and caring mother, survived by her sister Barbara Gumas of Catonsville, Maryland; three children, Charles of Fort Myers, Florida, Sandra (Barry) of Warrington, PA, and Raymond (Marilyn) of West Deptford, NJ; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Brentlinger; her siblings, Virginia and Robert Brentlinger; and her beloved husband of 33 years, Raymond Blickle.

She loved her 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren dearly and talked about them with great pride.

Relatives and friends were invited to a viewing and services held at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, located at 501 Easton Rd, Willow Grove, PA 19090. A viewing was held on Thursday August 8, at 10:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am, given by Pastor Joshua Plohocky, Bucks County Seventh Day Adventist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Mary's memory to the Bucks County Seventh Day Adventist Church, 10 Greene Rd, Warminster, PA 18974-4422 (Mail to PO Box 167, Warminster, PA 18974-0517).
