Leo “Lee” M. Jansen of Meadowbrook, PA died on June 18, 2026. He was 73 years old. Lee was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Mary Bane and Leo H. Jansen and brother of the late MaryAnn Donahue. He was the brother-in-law of Andrew Donahue and Uncle of Theresa Chancey (Matthew Chancey), Bridget Tracy (Joseph Tracy), and Dana Horidjenko (John Hordijenko); Great Uncle of Grace Chancey, Summer Chancey, Alyssa Hordijenko, Gracie Clift, Madalyn Tracy, Robert Clift IV, Matthew Chancey Jr, John Hordijenko, Shane Clift, Daniel Hordijenko, Juliette Chancey, Victoria Tracy, Emily Clift, and Joseph Tracy.
Lee attended St. Timothy’s Catholic School in Mayfair and later graduated from Father Judge High School in 1970. In 1975, he began his career at Jeanes Hospital, starting in Environmental Services before moving to the Central Supply Department. There, he took great pride in the meticulous work of preparing medical equipment for the operating room and other hospital departments. Lee dedicated more than 30 years of service to Jeanes Hospital, where he truly loved his work and valued the many friendships he formed with his colleagues and coworkers throughout his career.
Friends and family were at the center of Lee’s life. He was a devoted brother to late sister, MaryAnn, and the two shared a close and special bond throughout their lives. He loved spending time with his sister, brother-in-law, nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Some of his happiest memories were made on family vacations to Disney World, the Pocono Mountains, and the beach. He also enjoyed annual trips to the Jersey Shore with close friends, sharing laughter and countless good times.
In his free time, Lee was an avid bowler who spent countless evenings competing in bowling leagues and celebrating several championship victories over the years. He also enjoyed shopping, especially at Macy’s, and took great pride in his appearance.
Lee will be remembered as a gentle soul and a fun-loving man who was always willing to help and whose joy was contagious. His goal in life was to make others smile and laugh. He loved to sing, dance, and share his unforgettable laugh with those around him. His loving spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Manor, 1616 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, PA 19046. Following the service, all guests were invited to a luncheon at Brookside Manor, 50 Bustleton Pike, Feasterville, PA 19053, catered by Maggio’s.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
